The Baikal-U line of domestic RISC-V microcontrollers is expanding with the BE-U1100, BE-U1200, and BE-U1300 models.
The flagship of the BE-U1000 family is a RISC-V microcontroller based on Russian CloudBEAR IP cores. It features three cores, a 200 MHz clock speed, and serves as a functional equivalent to the STM32F4XX–F7XX series. Housed in a QFN88 package, it includes motor control capabilities, faces no restrictions on mass production, and is listed in the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade's registry.
Baikal Electronics is introducing new specialized models, each tailored to a specific class of tasks:
BE-U1100 — Maximum SPI interfaces and GPIO, without USB. Features 2 cores, MSPI×1, SSPI×2, QSPI×1, 24×GPIO, 2×CAN, 7×UART, 3×I2C, 1×I2S, and a QFN48 package. Ideal for industrial automation and process control systems (communication modules, protocol gateways, sensors, and I/O controllers for distributed sites), as well as relay protection and data acquisition.
BE-U1200 — Full USB support with a balanced set of peripherals. Features 2 cores, MSPI×1, 22×GPIO, 2×CAN, 6×UART, 3×I2C, 1×I2S, and a QFN48 package. Targeted at IoT devices, smart meters and utility metering equipment, and embedded electronics for consumer and commercial sectors—such as smart thermostats, trackers, and networked sensors.
BE-U1300 — Maximum communication channels, including audio support. Dual-core, USB, MSPI×1, 22×GPIO, 2×CAN, 8×UART, 4×I2C, 2×I2S, QFN48 package. Target applications: telecommunications and network equipment, medical and measurement instruments, and devices requiring simultaneous operation of multiple sensors and communication interfaces alongside audio stream processing—such as intercoms, public address systems, and voice recorders integrated into industrial equipment.
